Revelation Seals 1-4
Seals 1-4 portray the destruction that will begin on earth as signs of the last days. Excerpts from Revelation 6:1-8 KJV in Appendix F are included below:
- Seal 1 white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
- Seal 2 red horse, power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
- Seal 3 black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
- Seal 4 pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.
Compare this to the opening words of Christ messages to His disciples in the Gospels. Christ told His disciples this is only the beginning of sorrows.
Do Not Be Deceived, Many Will Come in the Name of Christ
Matthew
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. – Matthew 24:4-5 KJV
Mark
5And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: 6For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. – Mark 13:5-6 KJV
Luke
8And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. – Luke 21:8 KJV
The time of being discerning regarding who we trust and who we listen to is already here.
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. – Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
Not all who claim to know Christ, prophesying and doing wonders in His name, actually know Him. Remember in the dessert, satan promised to give Christ rule over the earth. The last days will be full of those using the power of the devil to work wonders and deceive here on earth.
Wars, Famines, Earthquakes, Only the Beginning of Sorrows
Matthew
6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows. – Matthew 24:6-8 KJV
Mark

Luke

10Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: 11And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. – Luke 21:9-11 KJV
Christ speaks of wars and earthly destruction, but He warns His disciples, the end is not yet.
