Revelation 1 – Christ Elements to Remember
- Christ will come in the clouds
- Every eye will see:
- Those still alive on earth or who have “fallen asleep”
- Those who pierced Him on earth
- All kindreds will wail – those who rejected Christ from both groups above will all wail
- Jesus Christ is (Revelation 1:5):
- “Faithful witness” for us
- “First begotten of the dead”
- “Prince of the kings of the earth”
- Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last (1:8, 1:11, 1:17) (no one will be after Him)
- Heavenly Symbolism of 7:
- Christ holds 7 stars in His hand representing the 7 angels, each assigned to one of the 7 churches John is told to prophesy to.
- Christ is surrounded by 7 candlesticks in heaven, representing the 7 churches.
- Christ is in the center of the churches operating on earth.
Revelation 2-3 – Christ Elements to Remember
- REPENT!!! Repentance brings us back to Christ and the love of God. It restores us to again become grounded in the ways of the Lord and rejuvenates us to carryon, seeking to serve with gladness and singleness of heart!!
- Heed Christ’s Warnings! There are consequences for our choices and actions, or lack there of!
- Those standing for Christ with “little power” on earth are still serving God’s will.
- Remember, we are small, but God’s power is GREAT!
- “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out” – Revelation 3:12 KJV. Becoming a pillar in the temple of God in the new Jerusalem is the greatest reward and is possible with patient endurance.
- We will need to guard our hearts from anything on earth that results in us losing hope or having a failing heart for God.
Revelation 4-5 – Christ Elements to Remember
- Christ is the only one worthy of breaking the seals.
- We are redeemed to God by the blood of Christ that was shed for us.
- The golden vials are filled with the “prayers of the saints.”
- Ultimately, the saints will reign on earth with Christ.
- Four beasts and 24 elders fall in worship of Christ in heaven.
