Revelation 1 – Christ Elements to Remember
- Christ will come in the clouds
- Every eye will see:
- Those still alive on earth or who have “fallen asleep”
- Those who pierced Him on earth
- All kindreds will wail – those who rejected Christ from both groups above will all wail
- Jesus Christ is (Revelation 1:5):
- “Faithful witness” for us
- “First begotten of the dead”
- “Prince of the kings of the earth”
- Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last (1:8, 1:11, 1:17) (no one will be after Him)
- Heavenly Symbolism of 7:
- Christ holds 7 stars in His hand representing the 7 angels, each assigned to one of the 7 churches John is told to prophesy to.
- Christ is surrounded by 7 candlesticks in heaven, representing the 7 churches.
- Christ is in the center of the churches operating on earth.
Revelation 2-3 – Christ Elements to Remember
- REPENT!!! Repentance brings us back to Christ and the love of God. It restores us to again become grounded in the ways of the Lord and rejuvenates us to carryon, seeking to serve with gladness and singleness of heart!!
- Heed Christ’s Warnings! There are consequences for our choices and actions, or lack there of!
- Those standing for Christ with “little power” on earth are still serving God’s will.
- Remember, we are small, but God’s power is GREAT!
- “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out” – Revelation 3:12 KJV. Becoming a pillar in the temple of God in the new Jerusalem is the greatest reward and is possible with patient endurance.
- We will need to guard our hearts from anything on earth that results in us losing hope or having a failing heart for God.
Revelation 4-5 – Christ Elements to Remember
- Christ is the only one worthy of breaking the seals.
- We are redeemed to God by the blood of Christ that was shed for us.
- The golden vials are filled with the “prayers of the saints.”
- Ultimately, the saints will reign on earth with Christ.
- Four beasts and 24 elders fall in worship of Christ in heaven.
Revelation 12-13 – Order of Events to Remember
Heaven
- “Great red dragon”, the devil, has 7 heads, 10 horns and 7 crowns
- Michael and his angels war against the devil and WIN!
- Dragon is cast out, down to earth, with his angels for the last time
- 1/3 of stars/angels fall to earth with the dragon
- Woman flees to wilderness and is protected by God for 3.5 years
- Accuser can no longer accuse before God, day and night
- We overcome with our testimony and the blood of the Lamb
Earth
- Dragon gives first beast his power, seat, and authority on earth
- Fatal wound of first beast, the antichrist, is miraculously healed
- Earth worships the dragon and the antichrist
- Second beast rises, the false prophet
- False prophet creates image of antichrist, gives image power to speak and requires worship of image by all on earth
- False prophet requires the mark of the beast be taken
- Antichrist allowed power for 42 months
- Great blasphemies against God, Christ and those dwelling in heaven made by antichrist
- Counterfeit miraculous activities will occur, attempting to confuse the saints and those who have yet to know Christ.
Revelation 14 – Order of Events Overlapping Heaven and Earth to Remember
- 144,000 described and standing with Jesus Christ
- Angel 1 carries the gospel “to every nation”
- Angel 2 carries the message of the fall of Babylon
- Angel 3 warns against worshipping the beast and receiving the mark of the beast
- Patience of the saints, keeping God’s commandments and our faith of Jesus is called for.
- Son of Man, Jesus Christ, on a white cloud with a golden crown, a sharp sickle and His angels reap the harvest of the earth.
Revelation 15-16 – Elements to Remember
- 7 angels given vials with the 7 last plagues
- Those who overcame the beast on earth are before God’s throne on the sea of glass
- The testimony in heaven is opened
- “It is done” – The vials of God’s wrath poured out complete the final destruction on earth.
Revelation 17-18 – Elements to Remember
- The beast rising out of the bottomless pit goes into perdition, indwelling the human king and establishing the rule of the one known as the antichrist or the man of perdition.
- The 10 kings gain great wealth and feed their abominable lusts with Babylon.
- God puts it in the kings hearts to destroy Babylon.
- Babylon the “great city” will be destroyed.
- There will be a moment when the remaining saints on earth will be called to come out of her just before her hour of complete and final destruction.
- Kings and merchants will mourn the destruction of Babylon.
- The group of 10 kings only receives power for “one hour at the end” with the beast.
- Mighty angel takes “great millstone” and casts it into the sea (18:16).
- God’s vengeance is poured out on those who shed the blood of the saints (18:20 & 18:24)
- HEAVEN REJOICES!
Revelation 19 – Elements to Remember
- Only worship God!!
- Heaven opens and Christ is on a white horse, in righteousness to judge and make war for the final battle of Armageddon
- Christ has His armies with Him
- Sharp sword coming from Jesus mouth
- Jesus shall rule and “treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”
- Fowls from heaven and earth called to feast
- Beast and false prophet cast into the lake of fire
- Kings and beast armies remaining on earth slain by the sword of Christ and the fowl of heaven feast
- Christ’s ride on the white horse aligns with God’s words, “It is done” with the outpouring of the seventh vial
Revelation 20 – Elements to Remember
- 1st Resurrection Saints are with Christ
- Those who were:
- Beheaded for their witness to Jesus Christ and the Word of God
- Have not taken the mark of the beast
- Have not worshipped the beast or image
- 2nd Death/Resurrection has no power over the 1st Resurrection Saints
- satan bound and locked in the bottomless pit for 1,000 years and then released to attempt to deceive again for a brief period
- Finally, satan is cast into lake of fire
- Those who were:
- 2nd Resurrection – 2nd Death
- “the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” – Revelation 20:12 KJV
- “the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their work.” – Revelation 20:13 KJV
- Death and hell cast into the lake of fire
- Those not in the book of life are also cast into the lake of fire
Revelation 21-22 – Elements to Remember
- New heaven, new earth
- God communing with His creation continuously
- No more fear, unbelieving, abomination, murder, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters, or liars
- God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son will provide eternal light in the new Jerusalem.
- We will eternally glorify God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son!
- New heaven will have:
- water of life
- no more curse
- his name on our foreheads
- Blessed are those who keep the sayings of this prophecy and follow God’s commandments
- Do not worship angels! They only have strength through the power of God!
- We will be rewarded according to our works
- Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End
- Jesus “bright and morning star”
- Do not add to or take away a word from the prophecy in the book of Revelation
- “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. THE END.” – Revelation 22:21 KJV
