Last Days Study Introduction

This work has been challenging to say the least. It’s impossible to count the number of times this project has been set down or how many times I have prayed to work on something else. But that has not been God’s plan. Through the years, I have gathered information on last days eschatology. The more I gathered, the less I wanted to write on this topic. There are some elements of last days theology that are held to so passionately and at times with great anger, that I did not want to discuss this topic publicly or even privately. I wanted God to share His wisdom with me quietly and I could just say, “thank you for the wisdom” and move on. But that just isn’t how God works. He teaches us so we can share with others. We need to stand on His Word, taking steps forward and as in this case, writing as He leads. He teaches each of us so we will have more tools in our tool kit to better serve and glorify Him by bringing others to Jesus and salvation. He teaches us, so we can use the information as part of His plan.

Seek God’s direction, teaching and blessing of wisdom and a discerning heart as you move through this study. Reading the highlighted scripture first opens your heart and spirit to what God is saying, making that the primary focus of time spent with Him. Listen for God and His Holy Spirit to speak to you directly first, prior to reading the commentary included for that section of study.

The goal of this and all studies is to put God’s Word first. He knows our hearts, so seek first to tear down any walls surrounding your heart that prevent God’s message from being received. Seek to deepen your understanding instead of only finding quick answers to debated topics. Read Gods’ Word, seek His wisdom regarding what is meant for you individually, as a disciple of Christ. Do not hold back if you feel God leading you to read scripture not called out in this study. There may be a special element or message He is calling you to champion. My prayer for each reader is to have an ear to hear from God directly and an open heart with a pure desire to gain His understanding of the Word and to take action to serve as directed.

The same way the first book scribed for the Lord felt delayed seven years because of my unwillingness to follow His plan wholeheartedly from the beginning, I know it is in God’s perfect timing to bring this work to completion in 2026.

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. – Ecclesiastes 3:11 KJV

This study will not bring every answer one might seek regarding the last days, as I do not believe that is God’s intention. My prayer is for this study to bring knowledge and wisdom regarding our role and preparation as we live in and through this time. Build your individual relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit. Have a heart focused on the Lord and seek direction from the Holy Spirit. Through scripture, we will find hope to sustain us through the days ahead and even more importantly, guidance to prepare our hearts, spirits and minds to operate according to God’s ways, critical to sustain each of us in times of great tribulation.

Humbly, I come as a fellow servant of Christ, praying only to include God’s words in this work and none of my own. With fear and reverence, understanding the punishment for false teaching:

1My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment. – James 3:1 NKJV

Desiring only to help others seek God more deeply in their day-to-day lives and to better understand His ways, the goal of this work is to elevate and continuously improve discipleship. To this, we join in prayer.

Dearest Father,

We deeply pray to neither add to nor take away from any of Your scripture, especially the book of Revelation. May any parallels among scripture drawn be true to You and Your Word. May the thoughts and prayers of the readers likewise stay true to You and Your Word.

18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. – Revelation 22:18-19 KJV

May we all continue to grow and learn together to the glory of You Almighty God the Father, Jesus Christ Your one and only Son, and the Holy Spirit.

May God bless each individual reader in their walk, understanding wisdom from the One True GOD Almighty, in Jesus Christ’s name we pray. “Grace to you and peace from Him, Father God.”

4John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; – Revelation 1:4 KJV

Lord God, we seek Your truth, Your wisdom, and Your guidance through Your word. May each of Your disciples learn through this time spent with You. May all glory and honor be Yours, Almighty God, Our Father!!

Amen.

Now, without further ado, let us begin our study of God’s word regarding the last days beginning with the book of Revelation!!
