The writing for this site has been built on scripture. Earlier writings still available under Archives have followed a simple pattern: read scripture, consider elements of that scripture, pray and seek God’s guidance to take action in your own life as a disciple of Jesus Christ. These studies will follow the same pattern. Readers are encouraged to read scripture first, then commentary, pray and seek God’s message on a personal level. Keeping a daily journal of what God is saying during times of study documents the ways He is moving in your life. It builds a history of God’s presence and a view of His greater plan for you personally.
There are many versions of the Bible available. If selecting one, try reading a few verses from multiple versions and listening for Holy Spirit’s voice. This can be done easily from a quick internet search or a visit to your local bookstore. As you read the same group of verses across multiple versions open your heart to God’s leading and seek His guidance to finalize a selection. As you grow in God’s Word you may find yourself reading more than one version to more deeply connect with our Father Almighty.
