Power of Prayer

“For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.” (Matthew 18:20)

“So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” (Mark 11:24)

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:12)

“Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” (Philippians 4:6)

God calls us to stay aligned with Him and His will. We must continuously be in prayer, reading His word and petitioning to align our actions to His will.

“Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for bread, will give a stone? Or if the child asks for a fish, will give a snake? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:9-11)

God loves us as His children and wants to give only good things to us. We go astray when we seek to follow the worldly ways that were never God’s intent for our lives.

Take Action

Find a scripture from your readings, one that speaks of God’s love for you. Claim that love in your prayer and ask for God’s guidance in your life. Some may have a challenge they are facing, lift that hardship to the Lord and seek His help on dealing with the emotion, pain and fear, seek his plan for moving forward.
