Summer 2022 has been an interesting one! There are a number of personal situations this past year which resulted in no new posts since September 2021. That draught is OVER!! Elijah has called for rain!! During these last few months, time has been spent reading and in prayer. The plan, as I believe God has blessed it, is to do weekly posts reflecting on the readings done this summer and a few books read in previous years. The texts from this past summer are:

The theme of this series of posts will be discernment of the times we are living in as followers of Jesus Christ in the United States. God loves his children deeply and that love brought led settlers to a nation filled with “milk and honey”, similar to the Israelites in the Bible. The United States of America was founded on Biblical principles and the original documents, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Amendments, established a covenant of this nation with God Almighty. Freedom to worship and live daily life collectively as a nation accountable to one God, the only true God, the God of the Bible, were the principles of our nation. Some may try to debate or rewrite history of the founding of this country, but the truth is clear. The United States of America was established as One Nation Under God!
God blesses His children and He has blessed this nation with great prosperity. Unfortunately, prosperity often leads to: over indulgence, reduced levels of discipline and ultimately, spiritual weakness. Scripture from the Old Testament documenting Israels trials, tribulations and victories will be used as the foundation for this study. We need to grow in knowledge of God’s heart and His desire for His nation and our lives individually, as citizens of this nation on earth and more importantly of God’s Kingdom here on earth.
During the fall months of 2022, there will be learnings posted every Friday. For those who follow, pray the Holy Spirit will guide you through this time and more accurately discern God’s overall path for you and His will for your actions on a daily basis.
